Inspiring informed health choices through education and experience.
Inspiring informed health choices through education and experience.
For much of my life, I've been driven by one question: why do some people recover, thrive, and overcome adversity while others remain trapped in cycles of illness?
That question has shaped my personal journey, my career, and ultimately my life's work.
Born and raised in Birmingham, UK, I left the UK in 2001 and have since lived and travelled throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia. My career began within the pharmaceutical industry, where I trained to become a pharmacist before moving into corporate sales and business development.
While the experience gave me valuable insight into conventional healthcare and medicine, I became increasingly disillusioned with an industry that often appeared more focused on profits than people. Working closely with pharmaceutical sales representatives and healthcare professionals gave me a unique perspective on how the industry operated behind the scenes. I witnessed the influence of sales targets, incentives, commissions, and commercial interests, and it became clear that financial gain often played a significant role in decision-making.
Ironically, it was this experience that sparked a fascination with the psychology of sales, marketing, and persuasion, leading me into a successful career in corporate sales and business development. Yet despite my professional success, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing.
Then, in 2017, life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Grade 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
Having already lost my sister following chemotherapy treatment, I made the deeply personal decision to refuse chemotherapy and radiotherapy. My oncologists warned that I could have as little as one year to live if I chose that path.
Faced with that reality, I immersed myself in research and became determined to understand everything I could about health, disease, nutrition, trauma, emotional wellbeing, plant medicine, detoxification, and the many factors that influence healing.
What began as a fight for my own life became a journey of discovery that would change the course of it. Nearly a decade later, I remain cancer-free.
My experience inspired me to write my Amazon best-selling book, My Way: Following the Cancer Brick Road, sharing my journey through cancer, healing, resilience, and personal empowerment. I later co-authored two further Amazon bestsellers, Perfect Health and Life After Birth Trauma, and have written educational guides covering CBD, mental health, menopause, and illness prevention.
In 2020, I founded My Way CBD with a simple mission: to provide high-quality CBD products alongside honest, accessible education. Having spent years researching plant medicine and the endocannabinoid system, I recognised the need for trusted information in an industry often dominated by confusion, misinformation, and exaggerated claims.
I later founded My Way University to further support people who want to learn, think critically, and take a more active role in their own wellbeing.
Today, I work as a Natural Health Consultant, author, educator, speaker, and Senior Health Writer for Brainz Magazine. I have been honoured to receive both the Brainz CREA Global Award and the Brainz 500 Global Award, and in 2021 I was shortlisted for Best Wellness Influencer at the Cannavist Awards.
Through my writing, interviews, podcasts, public speaking, and educational platforms, I share insights on natural health, healthy ageing, disease prevention, plant medicine, the endocannabinoid system, inflammation, trauma, nervous system health, and the lifestyle factors that influence long-term wellbeing.
I don't claim to have all the answers, and I don't believe there is one path that is right for everyone. What I do believe is that people deserve access to information, informed choice, and the confidence to make decisions about their health based on knowledge rather than fear.
I don't share my story to tell people what they should do. I share it to encourage people to ask questions, think critically, explore different perspectives, and recognise that they have far more influence over their health than they may have been led to believe.
My story is about more than cancer. It's about resilience, curiosity, personal responsibility, and discovering that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is question what we've been told and seek our own understanding.

In 2021, I was shortlisted for Best Wellness Influencer at The Cannavist Awards, recognising my work in cannabis education, natural health advocacy and helping people make informed decisions about their wellbeing.
After being diagnosed with Grade 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer in 2017, I chose a different path. Through a combination of surgery, nutrition, lifestyle changes, supplementation, mindfulness practices and cannabis oil, I supported my body through recovery and have remained cancer-free ever since.
That experience inspired me to dedicate my time to sharing knowledge, raising awareness and helping others take a more active role in their health. Through my books, articles, consultations, support groups and online platforms, I continue to empower people with practical information and alternative perspectives on wellness.
Being recognised by The Cannavist Awards was both an honour and a reminder that personal experience, education and a genuine desire to help others can make a meaningful difference.

The Brainz 500 Global Award recognises entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and professionals who have achieved success within their field while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
I was proud to be selected for this award in recognition of my work as a Natural Health Consultant, author, educator, and advocate for informed health choices. It reflects not only professional achievement, but also a continued commitment to sharing knowledge, challenging assumptions, and helping people feel more empowered about their health and wellbeing.

I was honoured to receive the Brainz CREA Global Award in recognition of my contributions to health education and my commitment to helping others make informed decisions about their wellbeing.
Presented by Brainz Magazine, the award recognises individuals who demonstrate creativity, innovation, adaptability, and a dedication to creating a positive impact through their work. Receiving this award was particularly meaningful as it reflects the values that have guided my journey: challenging conventional thinking, encouraging informed choice, and empowering others through education.
Through my work as a Senior Writer for Brainz Magazine, I explore the topics I'm most passionate about—natural health, plant medicine, trauma, resilience, the endocannabinoid system, and the root causes of chronic illness. My goal is to challenge conventional thinking, encourage critical thought, and help people better understand their own health and wellbeing.
